Sorting while Organizing
"Sorting, as painful as it may be, is a critical step in organizing any area of your home. You simply can't create an organized space or system without knowing what you need to organize." -Laura List
When beginning to organize a room, first think of what the rooms functions are. Do you have guests in this room? Do you conduct crafts in this room? Or is it a personal home office. Once you have written down the main reasons for the room you will be able to sort through the room easier. If the items task is not fulfilled in the room, then move the item to the appropriate area of the home. Also when sorting, be sure to ask yourself "Do I still use this item? Do I still need it?" If the answer is "no" then place it in your donating pile for charity.
